Cherry Bao

Ms. Cherry Bao is a lawyer at Tahota (Shenzhen) Law Firm and Director of its AI Research Institute.

With an undergraduate background in International Trade and a master’s degree in law, Ms. Bao brings a dual perspective that bridges commercial logic and legal reasoning.

She has 16 years of experience in legal services and corporate legal management. She previously worked at a real estate development company, Yingke Law Firm Shenzhen Office, Zhongnan Land’s Guangzhou-Shenzhen regional office, and Guangdong Baocheng Law Firm, where she served in various roles including legal manager, practicing lawyer, regional head of legal affairs, and partner. Her practice has focused on investment and M&A, combining an in-house business perspective, project management experience, and professional legal judgment.

Ms. Bao has long been engaged in commercial advisory and dispute resolution, corporate legal counsel, compliance management, real estate and construction engineering, cross-border investment, and foreign-related legal services. She has led or participated in more than 50 real estate equity acquisition and urban renewal projects in Guangdong Province, with deep involvement in commercial negotiations, legal due diligence, transaction structuring, and the drafting, review, and revision of investment and financing agreements and major contracts. She has also handled a wide range of disputes involving real estate transactions, construction projects, leases and loans, employment, property management services, insurance contracts, and commercial contracts, building substantial experience in complex dispute resolution and full-process corporate risk control.

Ms. Bao is capable of providing legal services in English. She has advised clients from France, the United States, Hong Kong, and other jurisdictions on both litigation and non-contentious matters, and is skilled at delivering practical, efficient, and commercially viable legal solutions aligned with clients’ business objectives.

Ms. Bao has a long-standing interest in legal technology and lawyer team development. The legal assistant mini program “Faxiaozhu,” which she developed, received the Outstanding Technology Award at the 2025 Legal Expo. She continues to explore the application of AI in client communication, contract management, legal and case research, document preparation, team collaboration, and knowledge management, with the goal of enhancing legal service quality through professionalism, technology, and management capabilities.
